Project Management:

Saltex Consultancy Ltd provides overall steering and management of the project from inception through to handover. We don’t just aim to see the project to a successful completion but also aim to validate the project’s business case upon completion thus ensuring that the project is successfully completed on time, on budget, delivering specified business performance and most importantly fit for purpose.

  • Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and end users in assessing and updating the business case.

  • Management of vendors/suppliers - specifically providing direction to 3rd party vendors to ensure requirements are met and systems delivered on time and budget.
  • Providing full business systems analysis throughout the development life cycle by ensuring that changes in requirements are fed through to the suppliers and incorporated into the system design as quickly and effectively as possible.

Business Analysis:

Acting as the primary interface between the business stakeholders, system architects, developers and end users and ensuring that the application being developed meets the end user’s needs and requirements. Essentially, defining the application accurately, documenting the right requirements through careful listening and delivering a complete set of clear and testable requirements.

  • Capturing business requirements via holding workshops, observations, existing documentation and interviews.
  • Analysing and reviewing all identified requirements to determine whether the requirements are unclear, incomplete, ambiguous, or contradictory, and then resolving these issues.
  • Identifying and documenting areas that will benefit from Business Process Re-engineering
  • Producing detailed user requirements and requirement specification documents.
  • Executing Gap analysis.
  • Producing high level design documentation (UML -Rational Rose) such as Use Case diagrams, and interaction diagrams.
  • Ensuring effective change management – Getting all interested parties involved at every stage of the SDLC and ensure they understand the implications of the new systems.


Quality Assurance:

Management and coordination of the test team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as well as the creation of a quality assured test structure for the planning, design, execution and complete management of all tests that will be carried out during the current and subsequent stages of the project. This is in order to ensure that good quality standards are assured and adhered to.

  • Resource recruitment and management; Managing the test team and resource planning, defect management, and risk identification and management.
  • Creation of test plan for execution of entire testing process.
  • Creation of test strategy to encompass:-
    * Component testing
    * Hardware build and installation test
    * Integration and system testing of the solution
    * UAT and OAT of the entire infrastructure
  • Liaising with the SME at all times prior to the commencement of testing to ensure the infrastructure is fit for purpose.
  • Identifying toolset to be used to record and control test scripts, results and remedial action.
  • Identifying the test rig required for testing (including any test rig requirements that are/cannot be met).
  • Executing disaster recovery and system failover test, whilst ensuring business continuity.
  • Creating test execution and management templates, including a requirement matrix to enable and enhance requirement traceability.
  • Production of test report upon completion of each test phase.
